Make A Donation

Risley Independent Methodist Church is a registered charity which depends entirely on donations to fund its activities. If you are able to help us by making a donation (either a one-off gift or a more regular contribution) we would be very grateful and you can do exactly that a little further down this page. We continue to work very hard to support our local and wider community in numerous ways and for us to continue doing that, we can only rely on the generosity of our congregation and supporters.

How do we use the money? In the last year we have provided a free coffee morning and lunch which has provided something like one thousand meals to local pensioners, we provide a WarmWelcome space for those who need it, we have supported residents at our local care home, we have provided Christmas gifts to orphanages, and offered a venue for a number of other local community groups. Of course we have also had to spend a fair amount of money on maintaining the basic fabric of our building – making it safer, more usable and more comfortable for the big range of people who use it on a regular basis. And in addition to all of that, of course, as a church we open our doors as a place of worship – our main purpose – three of four times each week.
